International achievements of Afghan wrestling champions honored

KABUL: Following their successful return with gold, silver, and bronze medals from the wrestling competitions in Egypt, the Afghanistan National Sports Authority has commended their achievements.

In a ceremony held on this occasion, Mawlavi Ahmadullah Wasiq, the General Director of the National Olympics and Sports, stated that the organization is fully committed to promoting sports and supporting athletes in the country.

According to the statement, Afghan wrestlers Maqibullah Nezami and Abdullah Mohammadi secured gold medals by defeating three opponents in the competitions held in Egypt.

Also, Zaid Salehi won a silver medal, while Farhad Malikzada and Ahmad Shoaib Azad won bronze medals.

The Ibrahim Mustafa Cup international wrestling competition was hosted by Egypt and was attended by eight countries.
