South Korean president to be interrogated

KABUL: A group of investigators is set to conduct a series of interrogations with impeached president Yoon Suk Yeol, the South Korean news agency Yonhap reported.

The investigators are expected to visit President Yoon within the next two days, specifically on December 18.

It appears that Yoon Suk Yeol’s hasty decision to declare martial law in the country has backfired significantly.

Just two days ago, the South Korean Parliament declared the president disqualified, forcing Yoon to appoint someone else as his temporary successor for the next six months.

In the coming six months, the Constitutional Court of South Korea will decide whether to keep Yoon Suk Yeol in his presidential position or remove him from office.
