KABUL: The Acting Minister of Interior Affairs Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, in a meeting with Faisal Bin Talaq Al-Baqmi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kabul, discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations, the ministry said on Tuesday.
Welcoming Talaq Al-Baqmi, Minister Haqqani wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Kabul and highlighted the deep Islamic and historical bonds that unite the two nations.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Ambassador pledged to work for further strengthening relations between the two countries during his mission, stressing the continuation of cooperation based on shared Islamic and cultural values between Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.
On Monday, Faisal Bin Talaq Al-Baqmi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kabul, in meetings with a number of top officials of the Islamic Emirate discussed a series of issues of mutual interest.
