KABUL: Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs of India, has reiterated that his country is prepared to enhance cooperation with the Afghan government (Islamic Emirate) in addition to humanitarian sectors, The Hindustan Times reported on Friday night.
According to Jaiswal, the recent meeting between Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and Vikram Misri, Deputy Foreign Minister of India, was at the highest level, with New Delhi interested in increasing cooperation in trade, health, and sports with Kabul.
He emphasized that India has a special mission in Afghanistan and aims to do more in this regard, stressing that these efforts will strengthen long-term relations between Afghanistan and India.
It is noteworthy that high-level diplomatic delegations from the Islamic Emirate and India recently met in Dubai.
