KABUL: The Ministry of Information and Culture has launched a four-day training seminar for spokespersons of the Emirati ministries and independent departments, here in Kabul.
The seminar which was organized by the Access to Information Directorate of the ministry, on Sunday, was attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for Publication Affairs, Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi, Director of the Access to Information, Mawlavi Rahmatullah Nareewal, and spokesmen of various Emirati ministries and departments.
Welcoming the participants Mawlavi Rahmatullah Nareewal, said that based on the decree of the Prime Minister, coordination meetings with spokespersons are held every three months.
Speaking in the seminar Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi said: “The press department is a very important part of the system. Despite many restrictions, the Islamic Emirate has made great achievements in the past three years, and delivering these achievements to the people is our responsibility and yours.” He urged the spokesperson of each Emirati administration to be fully informed about their respective agency and its activities, ensuring accuracy and speed in communication, and fostering cordial relationships with media and journalists.
