KABUL: Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Acting Minister of Public Health, emphasized Turkey’s support for health centers in Afghanistan during a meeting with Cenk Unal, the Turkish Ambassador to Kabul.
According to a statement from the ministry on Wednesday, in the meeting, the two sides talked about the efforts to enhance the specialized skills of Afghan specialists and the import of quality medicines by the private sector.
The two sides also discussed the issuance of visas for urgent health cases, maternal and child health initiatives, reviewing and implementing past agreements, and strengthening cooperation in the health sector.
The Acting Minister of Public Health expressed appreciation for Turkey’s past collaborations and called for continued cooperation to improve health services in Afghanistan, according to the statement.
Ambassador Cenk Unal reaffirmed the commitment to deepen relations between Turkey and Afghanistan in the health sector, highlighting the shared goal of improving the health and well-being of the Afghan people.
