Islamic Emirate welcomes positive engagement based on mutual respect with the Int’l community, Muttaqi

KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a meeting with Per Albert Ilsaas, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Norwegian Embassy in Kabul said that the Islamic Emirate welcomes positive engagement with the international community based on mutual respect.

According to a statement from the ministry on Monday, he emphasized that countries in the region and around the world should collaborate with Afghans on economic and developmental advancements.

The Norwegian Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan assessed the security situation in the country positively and acknowledged the effectiveness of the Islamic Emirate’s efforts in combating drug trafficking.

He also assured that Norway will continue its cooperation and activities in Afghanistan.

Both sides discussed the necessity of positive engagement and expressed hope for the development of diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Norway, said the statement.

In the meeting, the two sides also discussed political, economic, and humanitarian issues.

The diplomatic relations of the Islamic Emirate with regional and global countries are expanding day by day.
