KABUL: Officials of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce have announced that Afghanistan is nearing self-sufficiency in serum production, with over one million dollars worth of serums exported abroad in the past ten months.
Private investors in this sector said that their production is increasing daily, with the ability to produce over 250,000 various serums each day.
The ministry officials added that tariffs on imported serums have been raised, and Afghan serums are now being utilized within the country.
Notably, for the first time under the rule of the Islamic Emirate, Afghan serums have been exported to Arab countries.
