Distribution of foodstuff to nearly 7,500 families in six provinces

KABUL: Foodstuff has been distributed to nearly 7,500 destitute families in six provinces of the country, including capital Kabul, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement Wednesday.

The aids was distributed to 790 families in Behsood district of Wardak province, 2,395 families in Surobi district and 1,050 families in Chahar Asyab district of Kabul province, 105 families in Nahor district of Ghazni province, 1,497 families in Aqtash district of Kunduz province, 491 families in Lash Joyn district of Farah province, 1,081 families in Hesarak district of Nangarhar province and 58 families in Alishang district of Laghman province.

According to statement, the assistances were provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to the deserved families with the cooperation of the provincial directorate of the ministry.

The distribution process of food items to the families continues across the country on daily basis.

Three days ago, food items were provided to over 16,000 families in six provinces of the country.

These aids are distributed to the needy families during the cold days of the winter.
