KABUL: Officials of the Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Department of Farah said that greenhouses worth around one billion Afghanis have been built in the province.
An official of the department stated that each greenhouse produces approximately 14 tons of crops per season.
The private sector has invested around 993,619,460 Afghanis in greenhouses in the province, and assistance in the form of necessary tools and materials has been provided to several greenhouse owners by the Department of Agriculture and partner organizations.
According to the officials, the products from greenhouses are exported to neighboring provinces and even to Iraq.
