KABUL: The interim president of Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa, has pledged to investigate the mass killings of Alawite civilians by his forces.
A human rights group reported today that since March 6, security forces in Syria have killed 937 civilians in Alawite-majority areas.
This violence comes in the wake of protests in Syria, which were launched by supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad last Tuesday.
