KABUL: Ismail Baqaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, recently made strong statements accusing Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), of “betraying” the non-proliferation regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baqaei said in a statement on his X that Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has confirmed an upcoming meeting with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the UK, scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Araghchi emphasized that this meeting was requested by the foreign ministers of the mentioned countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baqaei also referred to Grossi’s recent statements regarding the lack of evidence for Iran’s attempts to develop nuclear weapons, stating that Grossi’s acknowledgment comes too late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said, “Mr. Grossi, you have betrayed the non-proliferation regime and turned the agency into a partner in this unjust and aggressive war. Your misleading narrative has devastating consequences, and you must be held accountable.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
