KABUL: Following the entry of Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and his subsequent worship there, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned his actions.
In a post on his X Sherif stated that this act of disrespect towards one of the holiest sites in Islam is not only an affront to the beliefs of over a billion Muslims but also a direct attack on international law and the collective conscience of humanity.
Sharif emphasized that such actions would exacerbate tensions in Palestine and the broader region.
Furthermore, reactions have poured in from various countries and organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Saudi Arabia, Palestinian officials, Hamas, Turkey, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Egypt, all condemning Ben Gvir’s actions.
Reports indicate that the United States, the European Union, Germany, France, and several other Western nations have also expressed concern regarding Ben Gvir’s conduct.
