KABUL: President Donald Trump defended the deployment of federal and National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., stating that the city has turned into one of the “most dangerous” cities in the world regarding crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a post on his X this morning, Trump noted that the murder rate in D.C. surpasses that of some of the most notorious cities globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He cited official statistics indicating that crime has doubled in Washington over the past decade, while the real figures are likely 5 to 10 times higher than those reported by “corrupt city officials.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He wrote that citizens living in fear have largely stopped contacting the police, preferring not to leave their homes after dark, effectively becoming “voluntary prisoners” in their own city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
