KABUL: Officials of the Ministry of Public Health and the Qatari Ambassador to Kabul have signed an agreement for the construction of a modern 400-bed hospital today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Radio Omid correspondent, the hospital, which will be funded by a Qatari charitable organization, is set to be built in Kandahar province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a ceremony held on this occasion was attended by Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, Acting Minister of Public Health, and Dr. Mirdef bin Ali Al-Qashouti Qatari Ambassador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Jalali expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s initiative, stating that the hospital will significantly address the healthcare needs of residents in the southern provinces of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Qatari Ambassador noted that while the hospital will be constructed in the center of Kandahar province, residents of other southern provinces will also benefit from its services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to officials from the Ministry of Public Health, the construction of the hospital is expected to be completed within two years and six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Details regarding the cost of the hospital’s construction have not yet been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
