KABUL: A seven-member armed group of foreign nationals has been neutralized in a confrontation with Iranian military forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday night, the ISNA news agency reported that this group, comprised of non-Iranian citizens, intended to attack “one of the vital centers” in Sistan and Baluchestan province in eastern Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were neutralized before carrying out the attack, resulting in the deaths of five members and the arrest of two others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The media office of the Intelligence Directorate of Sistan and Baluchestan stated that the attackers were equipped with RPG-7 rocket launchers, M4 and M16 rifles, hand grenades, vehicles, and motorcycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also reported that this group had received training from the Israeli regime, although no details regarding the identities of the armed individuals were provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranian media noted that three military personnel, including members of the intelligence and police forces, were injured in the confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
