KABUL: Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, has announced that members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) voted positively for Afghanistan’s membership as an observer at the organization’s recent meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Afghan embassy in Russia reported on Wednesday, that during a meeting with Mawlavi Gul Hassan Hassan, the Afghan ambassador in Moscow, Kabulov stated that the Afghan delegation can now participate in SCO meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The senior Russian diplomat emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Kabul and Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Hassan also highlighted the necessity of Afghanistan’s participation in future SCO meetings, calling it an important need for regional connectivity and genuine understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
