KABUL: Donald Trump, the President of the United States, stated on Tuesday evening in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, that Ukraine can reclaim its lost territories in the conflict with Russia, especially with the support of the European Union and NATO.
He noted that after gaining a thorough understanding of the military and economic situation in Russia and Ukraine, he concluded that Kyiv has the capability to fight back against Moscow with European and NATO assistance.
He wrote, “Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years, while a real military power should have ended this war in less than a week. This is not a point of pride for Russia; rather, it shows them as a ‘paper tiger.'”
Trump emphasized that with its high morale, Ukraine is not only capable of regaining its lost territories but could potentially go beyond that.
According to Trump, Putin and Russia are facing significant economic challenges, and this situation presents a good opportunity for Ukraine to act.
The Kremlin has yet to respond to Trump’s statements.
