KABUL: Pierre Albert Ullsas, Norway’s Charg\u00e9 d’Affaires for Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation, met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss various issues, the ministry said in a statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the Norwegian Charg\u00e9 d’Affaires expressed concern over civilian casualties, particularly among women and children, in the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika due to airstrikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized Norway’s support for constructive engagement with the Afghan government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement further noted that the two sides discussed not only political, economic, and humanitarian issues but also the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan as well as regional issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Foreign Minister, the Islamic Emirate, based on its balanced foreign policy and economy-driven approach, seeks good relations with all countries based on mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both parties addressed the need for positive engagement and the challenges faced by returning migrants, expressing hope for further diplomatic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
