KABUL: India’s Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, has reaffirmed New Delhi’s commitment to “people-centric and community-focused” assistance for the people of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Hindustan Times reported on Friday night, while he was addressing students from various countries residing in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to a question from an Afghan student, he described the relationship between India and Afghanistan as longstanding and noted that New Delhi continues its engagement with Kabul based on these two pillars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized that India is currently collaborating with Afghanistan in the fields of development, humanitarian aid, and healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jaishankar also described his meeting with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, as positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
