KABUL: Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Araghchi has met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, it was stated that in the meeting, Araghchi emphasized the importance of diplomacy for “safeguarding Iran’s national interests” and the need to prevent the escalation of violence in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement highlighted that the Iranian Foreign Minister praised Turkey’s “responsible stance” regarding the Tehran nuclear issue and stressed the need to strengthen the unity of Islamic and regional countries against foreign interference in Western Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting, President Erdogan emphasized Ankara’s efforts aimed at reducing violence and returning to the path of diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Erdogan noted that the region can no longer tolerate increased insecurity and that the only solution to the Iranian nuclear issue is diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
