KABUL: According to senior Iranian diplomatic officials, Tehran has rejected U.S. demands to end uranium enrichment during recent nuclear talks in Oman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reuters citing unnamed Iranian diplomats reported on Friday evening, that Tehran will not retreat from its right to enrich uranium on its own soil, while expressing willingness to discuss the “level of enrichment” and the establishment of a regional consortium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added:\u201d It appeared the U.S. understood Iran’s stance on enrichment and had shown flexibility regarding Tehran’s demands.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the Iranian official emphasized that in yesterday\u2019s discussions between the U.S. and Iranian delegations in Muscat, there were no talks about Iran’s missile programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that the Iranian and American delegations had “very good” discussions, and negotiations on some issues are set to continue early next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is noteworthy that the U.S. and Iranian delegations resumed their discussions regarding Iran’s nuclear program in Muscat yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
