KABUL: Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, has claimed that the country\u2019s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested the planners of the deadly bombing that targeted a Shia mosque in Islamabad on Friday.
According to The Express Tribune, which reported this morning, during a press conference, Minister Naqvi stated that the operations were conducted overnight in “Nowshera and Peshawar,” resulting in the detention of four “facilitators,” including an Afghan citizen, linked to the planning and execution of Friday’s attack.
He remarked, “Let me be clear, they are funded by India. India sets the targets and plans every step for them. These organizations are on the payroll of India. Perhaps the world may stay silent today, but the day will come when every country will acknowledge who supports this terrorism.”
This claim comes as both the Afghan and Indian governments rejected the Pakistani officials’ accusations yesterday, urging Islamabad to address its internal security issues instead of blaming others.
Meanwhile, the group ISIS claimed responsibility for the deadly bombing in Islamabad, which, according to Pakistani media reports, resulted in the deaths of 35 individuals and injured around 170 others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
