KABUL: The Iranian human rights organization Hengaw has reported that the Iranian government recently carried out the executions of three Afghan citizens in its prisons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the organization\u2019s report on Tuesday night, the executed individuals include “Kareem Nazari from Herat province, and Saifuddin Mehraban, 23, and Namq Kasrawi, 25, both from Baghlan province.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report states that Kareem Nazari was sentenced to death for “drug-related charges,” while Saifuddin Mehraban and Namq Kasrawi were convicted of “premeditated murder” by Iranian judicial authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hengaw noted that alongside these three Afghan citizens, eleven Iranians were also executed on various charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to released information, Kareem was executed in the “Taybad” prison, while Saifuddin and Namq were executed in the “Adelabad” prison located in the port city of Bandar Abbas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not the first time Afghan citizens have been executed in Iran on various charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite this, officials of the Afghan government are attempting to bring Afghan prisoners from Iranian jails back to Afghanistan to serve the remainder of their sentences in their home country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
