KABUL: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, recently referred to the U.S. and Israel as “nuclear-armed regimes” in light of their military attacks on Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He made the statement on Wednesday night, in a post on X regarding the march held by Iranian citizens marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Araghchi emphasized that his country has faced numerous challenges in the decades following the revolution, particularly in the past year, but has emerged resilient from all these events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stated, “In just the past year, our people have been the target of unprecedented attacks by two nuclear-armed regimes and subsequently a large-scale terrorist operation; nonetheless, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always stood firm.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Araghchi linked the persistence of the Iranian government to its reliance on the people of the country, rather than on “foreign regimes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He expressed hope that the coming year would be one of “peace and tranquility,” with dialogue prevailing over war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iran has faced military tensions and confrontations with the U.S. and Israel in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
