{"id":19690,"date":"2026-04-01T11:14:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T11:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/?p=19690"},"modified":"2026-04-01T11:14:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T11:14:46","slug":"over-28000-foreign-nationals-traveled-to-afghanistan-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/2026\/04\/01\/over-28000-foreign-nationals-traveled-to-afghanistan-in-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 28,000 foreign nationals traveled to Afghanistan in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KABUL: More than 28,000 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan over the past year, according to official data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Statistics and Information Authority said a total of 28,474 foreign travelers were recorded passing through airports and land border crossings in 1404 (2024\u20132025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of these, 16,276 individuals, including 728 women, entered the country, while 12,198 others, including 158 women, departed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The majority of arrivals came through land crossings, with 16,090 people entering via border points and 182 by air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the data, 2,369 visitors traveled to Afghanistan for tourism purposes, 115 for education, and the remaining 13,792 for work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highest number of arrivals was recorded at border crossings in Nimroz Province, followed by Herat Province, Faryab Province, and the Torkham Border Crossing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said other travelers entered through the Hairatan Border Crossing and Balkh airport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KABUL: More than 28,000 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan over the past year, according to official data.
