KABUL: More than 28,000 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan over the past year, according to official data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Statistics and Information Authority said a total of 28,474 foreign travelers were recorded passing through airports and land border crossings in 1404 (2024\u20132025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of these, 16,276 individuals, including 728 women, entered the country, while 12,198 others, including 158 women, departed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The majority of arrivals came through land crossings, with 16,090 people entering via border points and 182 by air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the data, 2,369 visitors traveled to Afghanistan for tourism purposes, 115 for education, and the remaining 13,792 for work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The highest number of arrivals was recorded at border crossings in Nimroz Province, followed by Herat Province, Faryab Province, and the Torkham Border Crossing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
