KABUL: Donald Trump said U.S. forces have rescued a second crew member from a downed fighter jet in Iran during what he described as a \u201cbold\u201d and complex operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the injured U.S. Air Force officer had recovered from mountainous terrain while being pursued by Iranian forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that dozens of aircraft equipped with advanced weaponry were deployed under his orders to carry out the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis miraculous search-and-rescue operation followed the successful rescue of another brave pilot yesterday, which we did not confirm at the time to avoid jeopardizing the second mission,\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Trump, the crew member\u2019s location had been monitored around the clock after the aircraft was shot down, with detailed planning carried out before the rescue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There has been no independent verification or evidence released by the U.S. military regarding the operation or the condition of the rescued personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
