KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has described the \u201cAfghanistan and Central Asia Consultative Dialogue\u201d as an important step toward strengthening regional cooperation and addressing shared challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Radio Omid correspondent, speaking at the meeting, which was attended by representatives from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan, Muttaqi said the main objectives include strengthening diplomatic relations, expanding economic and transit cooperation, and identifying solutions to regional issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said many Asian countries continue to face security challenges that have also affected Afghanistan, stressing the need for joint and coordinated efforts to address them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muttaqi added that Afghanistan seeks to further expand its relations with regional and global partners and continue positive engagement across multiple sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to relations with Pakistan, he said talks between the two sides began in China and that Afghanistan remains ready for dialogue, while emphasizing that it will defend its sovereignty under all circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afghan security forces have prevented the activities of ISIS and other groups, and that border areas are now fully secure, he claimed, adding that corruption has been eliminated, opium cultivation has been reduced to zero, and financial stability has been maintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muttaqi further said that trade relations with regional countries have improved and efforts are ongoing to expand them further, including major projects such as TAPI and CASA-1000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
