KABUL: Donald Trump has warned China that it will face \u201cserious consequences\u201d if it sends weapons to Iran.
According to CNN, Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the White House, though he did not elaborate on what actions the United States might take.
He has previously warned that any country supplying arms to Iran could face immediate tariffs of up to 50% on exports to the United States.
U.S. intelligence assessments cited in the report suggest China may be preparing a weapons package for Iran, including air defense systems, potentially routed through a third country to conceal the transfer.
China has not publicly responded to the warning or confirmed any such plans.
