{"id":20827,"date":"2026-05-05T09:45:01","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T09:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/?p=20827"},"modified":"2026-05-05T09:45:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T09:45:02","slug":"labor-minister-workers-abroad-face-unbearable-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/2026\/05\/05\/labor-minister-workers-abroad-face-unbearable-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Labor Minister: Workers abroad face \u201cunbearable\u201d conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KABUL: Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Abdul Manan Omari, says the situation of Afghan workers abroad is \u201cunbearable,\u201d accusing foreign employers of subjecting them to inhumane working conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at an event marking International Workers\u2019 Day in Kabul on Tuesday, Omari said Afghan laborers overseas are often forced to work in ways that violate human dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized that the ministry supports the National Workers\u2019 Union and is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities in protecting workers\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While acknowledging domestic challenges, Omari noted that many Afghans continue to seek employment abroad, often far from their families, due to limited job opportunities at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs remains committed to creating standard employment opportunities for Afghan workers within the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International Workers\u2019 Day, observed annually on May 1, was also commemorated in Kabul through a ceremony organized jointly by the ministry and labor representatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KABUL: Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Abdul Manan Omari, says the situation of Afghan workers abroad is \u201cunbearable,\u201d accusing foreign employers of subjecting them to inhumane working conditions.
