{"id":21055,"date":"2026-05-12T05:40:55","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T05:40:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/?p=21055"},"modified":"2026-05-12T05:40:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T05:40:56","slug":"more-than-235000-metric-tons-of-goods-transported-via-railways-in-one-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/2026\/05\/12\/more-than-235000-metric-tons-of-goods-transported-via-railways-in-one-week\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 235,000 metric tons of goods transported via railways in one week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KABUL: A total of 235,362 metric tons of export and import goods were transported into and out of the country through railway networks during the past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works, said in a statement on Tuesday, that the goods were transferred via Hairatan, Aqina, Torghundi, and Khaf\u2013Herat port railway routes during the past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry said that 160,063 tons were transported through Hairatan port, 18,695 tons through Aqina, 23,616 tons through Torghundi, and 32,988 tons through the Khaf\u2013Herat railway line, bringing the total to 235,362 tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shipments included both petroleum and non-petroleum goods. Of the total, 1,192 tons consisted of Afghan exports, including dried fruits, mineral stones, and pomegranate juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Public Works said efforts are ongoing to expand rail transport for imports and exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, more than 100,000 tons of goods were also transported through the country\u2019s railway network.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KABUL: A total of 235,362 metric tons of export and import goods were transported into and out of the country through railway networks during the past week.
