KABUL: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate met with officials and members of the religious scholars\u2019 councils from Parwan and Kapisa provinces in a gathering also attended by the Foreign Minister.
The Islamic Emirate deputy spokesman Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat said said in a statement today that the Supreme Leader stressed that religious scholars are responsible for helping resolve people\u2019s religious and legal issues.
According to the statement, the Leader also urged scholars from Parwan and Kapisa to further strengthen their unity, saying that unity among Islamic scholars would lead to broader unity within the Muslim community.
He additionally called on clerics to cooperate with the Directorate for the Preservation of Jihadist Relics under the Ministry of Information and Culture and encouraged former fighters to share information and materials related to what the leader described as the \u201cjihad period.\u201d
He also urged the installation of plaques on the graves and memorials of those martyred during the conflict to preserve their memory and history, and called for books and publications documenting their sacrifices.
He emphasized the importance of transferring what he described as the achievements, history, and sacrifices of martyrs to future generations, while encouraging scholars to educate the public about the role of jihad, wounded fighters, and orphans of war.
The statement added that members of the religious scholars\u2019 councils from Parwan and Kapisa renewed their pledge of allegiance and commitment to the Supreme Leader at the end of the meeting.
