KABUL: Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has said that the United States must accept the new realities that have emerged following the recent conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, and adjust its policies to the changing regional landscape.
Qalibaf made the remarks on Friday during a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Uzbekistan, stating that developments following the war have compelled Washington to acknowledge the existing realities on the ground.
He added, \u201cThe situation has improved compared to the past, and under these conditions, trade relations can expand further. We also hope that the conditions will be created for the lifting of sanctions.\u201d
Referring to the situation in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian parliament speaker said that \u201cthrough the joint management of Iran and Oman\u201d in the strategic waterway, along with a reduction in what he described as \u201cdestructive actions by the United States,\u201d greater opportunities could emerge for the expansion of transit and transportation cooperation.
