KABUL: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced a new wave of attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan early today.
In a statement, the IRGC said its second wave of operations targeted the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, claiming to have struck and set ablaze helicopter maintenance facilities, a hangar housing a P-8 electronic warfare aircraft, and a command-and-control center for unmanned aerial vehicles.
In a separate statement, the IRGC claimed it also attacked Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, saying it targeted fuel storage facilities and a Patriot air defense system used by U.S. forces.
The IRGC further stated that it launched rocket attacks on the U.S.-used Ali Al Salem and Ahmad Al Jaber air bases in Kuwait, claiming to have destroyed fuel depots, a Patriot air defense system at Ali Al Salem, and an FPS strategic radar system at Ahmad Al Jaber.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti military and Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said in separate statements on X that air raid sirens had been activated and that their air defense systems had intercepted rockets and drones launched from Iran.
Both authorities urged citizens and residents to seek shelter and follow official security instructions.
The Jordanian Armed Forces also announced on Monday that they had intercepted and shot down four Iranian rockets that entered the country’s airspace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
