{"id":25751,"date":"2026-10-07T06:33:27","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T06:33:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/?p=25751"},"modified":"2026-10-07T06:33:29","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T06:33:29","slug":"student-protests-in-france-enter-third-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/omidradio.com\/en\/2026\/10\/07\/student-protests-in-france-enter-third-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Student protests in France enter third week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KABUL: Protests by school students in France have entered their third week, with tens of thousands of students and members of labor unions taking to the streets in cities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The protests began on September 21 in disadvantaged areas of Paris over a shortage of teachers, poor school conditions and other problems, and later spread to other parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, at least 6,100 people had been arrested by Tuesday morning, many of them under the age of 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>France\u2019s education minister said at least 190 students had been injured during the protests, while 24 schools had been set on fire or damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human rights groups, particularly Amnesty International, have condemned the use of force by police against underage protesters.
