KABUL: Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank (Country’s Central Bank) Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, in a meeting with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Resident Representative Stephane Rodriquez said:” I hope that aid providers to Afghanistan will focus their assistance on reducing unemployment and creating jobs in Afghanistan,” Bank said in a statement Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meeting, both sides discussed improving the banking sector, Islamic banking, electronic payments, and financing small enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mullah Hedayatullah Badri called the aforementioned issues important for the country’s economic growth and stated that strengthening these sectors is the need of the present era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the UNDP Representative praised the achievements of the Central Bank, including the stability of the Afghan currency, inflation control, banking sector management, and economic growth, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also stressed the cooperation of the organization’s development program in the banking sector, the development of Islamic banking, the financial support of small enterprises, and banking payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
