KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali met with Robert Dickson, here in Kabul, the UK’s Chargé d’Affaires for Afghanistan, the ministry said in a statement today.
According to the statement, in the meeting the two sides discussed providing assistance to the health system, the treatment of drug addicts, cooperation in the field of maternal and child health, and mobilizing international assistance for the health sector in Afghanistan.
The Acting Minister of Public Health said that in the past three years, a large number of addicts have been treated, and a large number are currently under treatment in the country, said the statement.
The UK’s Chargé d’Affaires assured the continued cooperation of his country in the health sector in Afghanistan.
