Preparations to celebrate Victory Day against US-led foreign forces discussed

KABUL: Based on the instruction of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Shaikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Hibatullah Akhundzada, a coordination meeting has been held to discuss the celebration of the IEA victory day against the U.S.-led foreign occupying forces.
The meeting, was chaired by the Acting Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs Mullah Noorullah Noori, and was attended by the representatives of the Emirati ministries and departments, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
In the meeting, the procedure for holding a grand public gathering in the country was arranged and sent to the Prime Minister’s Office for approval, said the statement adding that after the approval of the above procedure, the second meeting of the Emirate’s institutions regarding the commemoration of August 14 will be held.
Also, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, declared Wednesday of the current week, which coincide to Asad 24 (15-August), a public holiday throughout the country.
