ARCS distribute sewing machines to 50 needy women

KABUL: The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) said in a statement today that during a ceremony sewing machines have been distributed to 50 unaccompanied women,

According to the statement, the machines were provided in collaboration with the Danish Red Crescent for needy women.

Speaking in the ceremony, Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, the head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, stated that along with the sewing machines, a complete set of 27 sewing tools was also distributed to them.

“Under the Islamic Emirate’s system, the rights of the poor will not be violated,” the statement quoted him as saying.

Efforts are underway by the Afghan Red Crescent to provide daily assistance to needy families across the country.
