KABUL: Construction work on a key road connecting Panjshir to Badakhshan has been completed by the Engineering teams of the Ministry of National Defense in the provinces, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday night.
According to the statement, the road with a length of 50 kilometers and a width of 10 meters, has been completed by the Special Brigade’s machinery team in Panjshir, effectively connecting the province to Badakhshan, the statement said.
Efforts are underway to complete the remaining 250 kilometers of the road, which will connect the districts of Kuran-wa-Munjan, Yamgan, Jurm, and Baharak in Badakhshan to Panjshir, the statement added.
The road was constructed with a solid foundation and will be gravel-laid, with the project anticipated to be completed within three months, the statement further said.
