KABUL: The officials of the Ministry of Education stated that 18,337 schools are currently open to students across the country.
They made the remarks today at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) sharing the ministry’s one-year achievements noted that 316 new schools have been established, including 106 public schools and 210 private schools over the past year.
“152 primary public and private schools have been upgraded to secondary level, and 119 public and private schools have been upgraded from secondary to high school,” said the officials adding that this year, 1,445,840 new students have been enrolled in private and public schools.
Currently, 10,914,000 students are pursuing their lessons at public and private schools in the country, said the officials.
The ministry’s statistics indicate that 123 schools and 159 local classes for nomads have been established, with over 41,000 nomadic children receiving education in these institutions.
