KABUL: The officials of the Afghan Red Crescent Society said that 116,259 beggars have been rounded up in the past one year.
The officials of the ARCS in a press conference held today at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) sharing the ARCS’s one-year achievement to the nation said that among the collected beggars, 30,543 individuals have been deemed eligible for cash assistance.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Mudaser Hamraz, spokesperson for the Afghan Red Crescent Society, said that also 1,495 orphaned children, in orphanages across Kabul, Balkh, Kandahar, Nangarhar, and Herat provinces have been provided with services.
