KABUL: The Islamabad High Court has urged 87 Afghan students seeking extensions of their student visas to pursue their cases with Pakistani authorities through the Afghan Embassy.
According to Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro said the Afghan Embassy should contact Pakistani authorities regarding the students’ visa extensions.
The Afghan students traveled to Pakistan in 2023 to pursue their education and are now seeking to extend their student visas.
The status of student visas for Afghan students in Pakistan has remained a concern for many Afghan students for some time.
Delays in visa extensions could affect their education and their legal status to remain in Pakistan.
