KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow will continue its ongoing war in Ukraine and maintain its support for Iran amid the current confrontation with the United States.

Speaking during the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kyrgyzstan, Putin reaffirmed Russia’s position on the war in Ukraine, saying Moscow would not change its current course.

During a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Putin also expressed support for Iran and outlined Moscow’s position on the ongoing military and political tensions between Tehran and Washington.
