KABUL: The Procurement Commission, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, approved 12 projects during its regular meeting.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said 30 projects were presented for discussion, of which 12, worth approximately 2.7 billion Afghanis, were approved.
According to a statement, amendments to 10 other projects were also approved.
The approved projects include the construction of hospitals in Khost-e-Ferang district of Baghlan province and Sayed Karam district of Paktia province, the construction of several internal roads in Kabul, the implementation of electricity supply and distribution networks in various provinces, and several other projects.
The source said the amended projects include the completion of remaining work on the Ministry of Finance’s Dar-ul-Aman complex, the 200-bed hospital in Kunar province, Al-Shifa Hospital in Kabul, and several other projects.
