KABUL: Mawlavi Ghulam Rahman Kazim, Chief Executive of Afghanistan’s State-Owned Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Company, has traveled to India to learn about modern wastewater management and treatment systems and draw on India’s experience in the field.
The General Directorate of State-Owned Enterprises said in a statement that Kazim will meet with officials from Indian government agencies and private companies during his visit. He will also visit operational wastewater treatment projects and review new technologies used in the sector.
The visit aims to familiarize Afghan officials with new approaches and experiences in wastewater management and treatment and explore ways to apply relevant practices in Afghanistan, according to the statement.
Engineer Faiqullah Jamal, head of wastewater affairs, and Masoud Zafar, an engineer with the wastewater department, are accompanying Kazim on the trip.
