Panjshir attracts more than 450,000 domestic tourists

KABUL: More than 450,000 domestic tourists and 500 foreign tourists have visited Afghanistan’s Panjshir province since the beginning of the year, according to local officials.

Panjshir authorities said that with the increase in tourist arrivals, projects worth more than 40 million Afghanis have been launched to support urban development and provide tourism facilities.

A plan has also been prepared to construct a hotel specifically for tourists, while a $10 million investment has been announced in the beverage and pharmaceutical production sectors.
