KABUL: Mawlavi Fazl Mohammad Haqani, the acting head of the Afghan Embassy in Iran, met with Dr. Mohammad Saeed Arbab, the head of the Chabahar Free Trade and Industrial Zone delegation, to discuss the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The embassy stated that both sides stressed the importance of strengthening economic and trade ties between Afghanistan and Iran during the meeting.
Additionally, comprehensive discussions were held on effectively utilizing the capacities of the Chabahar Free Trade and Industrial Zone, facilitating exports, increasing commercial transactions, expanding transit, and addressing existing challenges.
According to the statement, both sides expressed that the Chabahar Port and Free Zone could serve as one of the region’s key economic corridors for Afghanistan and play a constructive role in trade development.
