Police foil attempt to smuggle 2,600 bullets into Pakistan from Helmand

KABUL: Helmand Police Forces say they have prevented the smuggling of 2,600 bullets from Afghanistan into Pakistan.

In a statement, the Helmand provincial police command said the ammunition was recovered in Greshk District during a security operation.

“The bullets had been skillfully placed inside a small “Alto” vehicle, which was allegedly being used to transport them across the border,” said the statement, adding that one person has been arrested in connection with the case.

Previously, security forces in Helmand have intercepted multiple attempts to smuggle weapons, ammunition, and other goods across the Durand Line.
