KABUL: A meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Uzbekistan, with the participation of its member states.

Bakhtiyor Saidov, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, said Saturday that participants reviewed the outcomes of joint activities and outlined long-term plans and priorities for the organization.

According to Saidov, member states reached consensus on 10 decisions designed to strengthen multilateral cooperation across various sectors, all of which were approved during the meeting.

Discussions also focused on preparations for the upcoming CIS heads of state summit, scheduled to take place in Turkmenistan in October this year.

Saidov expressed confidence that the adopted decisions would enhance unity among member states and contribute to regional stability as well as sustainable socio-economic development.
